Polite Corrections
How to guide Claude gently

Sometimes Claude gets it wrong. Here's how to steer things back on track nicely!
1The Idea
When Claude misunderstands or makes a mistake, a clear and friendly correction works best. Explain what went wrong and what you actually wanted.
2See the Difference
Bad Example
"No, that's not what I asked for!"
Claude knows it made a mistake, but not what the mistake was or how to fix it. This often leads to more confusion.
Good Example
"I think there was a misunderstanding. I was asking about Python the programming language, not pythons the snakes. Could you please give me Python coding tips instead?"
Clear, friendly, and specific. Claude now knows exactly what went wrong and what you actually need. Problem solved!

💡Clau-chan's Tip
Start corrections with: 'I think there was a misunderstanding...', 'Actually, I meant...', 'That's helpful, but what I really need is...'
3Practice
Try It Yourself!
Write a polite correction for when Claude wrote about the wrong topic.
